Our Stories
are ours to Tell.

Do the stories playing in your head seem to control you rather than the other way around?

These stories are shaped by our experiences—our history, family, culture, religion, and the expectations that begin writing our story long before we have a chance to. Some serve us well. Others have outstayed their welcome. And some were never ours to carry in the first place.

But beneath these stories is another one, it’s quieter, more tentative, but persistent. The one about who you want to be when the problem doesn't have the loudest voice in the room. That's the story I'm interested in helping you tell.

I'm Patrick, I'm committed to supporting people authoring their own lives through counselling conversations.

My approach to counselling is collaborative and guided by your experience. Rather than assuming problems are simply located within you, I’m interested in understanding the wider influences that may be shaping what you’re going through and supporting you to live a life shaped by your values.

This might mean taking your life back from anxiety, depression, fear, grief, or addiction. It might also mean finding freedom from religious or cultural stories that have left you believing you are less than you are.

A space to explore what’s shaping your experience and what might be possible beyond it.

Our conversations will follow your lead, I will gently ask questions that explore the stories, voices, and expectations that have shaped how you see yourself. The aim isn't blame , but to notice these influences and create space and bring new possibilities into the open.

name What’s There

There is space to understand what’s been shaping your experience, where your stories might have come from, and how they are showing up in your life.

Notice your agency

We look for the moments you've already stood against it. What do those moments say about who you are and what you value?

Author what comes

Together our conversation invites you to re-write your story, and move toward a way of living that feels more aligned to your values and who you know yourself to be. These conversations invite you to draw more deeply on the strengths and values you already possess.

Common Stories I Hear

Our stories are often more similar to each others than we realise. These are a few of the common ones I hear, but you don’t need to fit neatly into any of these categories to reach out.
